Hi everyone. Welcome back to K's Corner, home of all the good stuff. In my last post, I promised everyone pictures of ComicCon, and I have come to fulfill that promise! It's been over a month since the event, so I probably should have posted earlier. Forgive my tardiness. I was helping poor Ole Seph with her writing. I've told you before that she's not the greatest ever, so she needs help from wonderful protagonists such as myself to carry the story for her.
Anyway...
I am pleased to announce that the event was a success! Though I do have one question for Miss Winter.
IN WHAT UNIVERSE DOES THIS ATROCITY LOOK LIKE ME????
*clearing throat noises*
Two weeks of hard labour, and this is the best costume she could come up with? Granted, that harness thing is kind of cool. But I hope she isn't too proud of this insult. When I wear my Alte-Ra armour, I promise you I look a lot, like, A LOT better than that. She looks like she's wearing the pyjama version.
On the other hand, the pink haired cutie in this picture looks awesome! Seph, if you read this, take note, because she is adorable. You look ridiculous.
Also, this is the best you could do to display my awesomeness? I mean . . . Actually, it's way better than anything I could do. Good job. But next time, maybe offer more options. My face would look great on anything. Mugs, shirts, posters, you name it. I, er, it would be fantastic. Take notes, Seph! K merch. Ooh! I like the sound of that!
Maybe if you hadn't been ogling the epic weapons from another booth you would have made more sales.
What a geek. This is what I have to deal with. When she should be focusing on me, she's off admiring other people's work. Honestly. Though, to be fair, this Lord of the Rings paraphernalia is top notch. I will admit, I spent a good while staring at that figurine of the Balrog. I had to lookup what that was, and I'm trying to get Seph to add something that cool into my story. Not sure she's buying it though. Sorry everyone. I'm trying.
There were a lot of people in these elaborate costumes at the event. I've never been to a festival like this, but is was amazing! Had I been in charge of the camera, I would have gotten Snitch to take a lot more pics. I probably would have captured some video, too. But not Ole Seph. She was too busy "living in the moment" or some such nonsense. Experiencing, not documenting.
Okay, confession time. The only festival I ever got to attend was the King's Day celebration on Wistraela. This Comiccon event was very different. Of course, the biggest difference was the fact that no one tried to take me prisoner or started any fights. Maybe a little bit boring in that sense, but probably a good thing overall. It was nice to enjoy something like this without looking over my shoulder the whole time.
Well, that's it for this post.
For those of you who attended Comiccon, I hope you had as much fun as I did! And a special thank you to everyone who bought my books. I absolutely guarantee that I am phenomenal in them. As to the rest of you, what are you waiting for? Grab your copies of books 1-3 now! Do it! Books 4 and 5 are in the works so you'll want to be all caught up when they hit print!
As a bonus, this just got posted on the shop. Make sure you head on over and check it out. I told you my face would look great on merch.
